The sunrise project
Updated: Jul 3, 2018
Unless you have been able to clone yourself, you have the same 24 hours in a day as the rest of us to getting your “to do list” completed, and no matter how much you get done, and when I say you ... I mean me, 24 hours never seem to be enough. It seems that no matter how little time I have, and how much I complain about it, there is always time for me to update my Insta post, stalk people on Facebook or play a game of Candy Crush.
Exactly 1 month ago to the day, I challenged myself: Every morning instead of sleeping in and watching the hours slip away in the perfect dream, the one where Ryan Gosling is my husband and I am travelling the world alongside the perfect man, I would wake up at 5am (or at least before the sun rises), avoid looking at my phone, and replace this act with something meaningful.
It’s crazy what’s happened, waking up at 5am starts my day with a purpose... Whether this is to remember why I do what you do, fill my petrol tank, read the last chapter of “Shoe Dog” or go for a run, the extra hours in the day have acted as an incredible catalyst in life and have offered me an opportunity of an entrepreneurial side project, blogging, socializing etc
Whether the same will happen for you, I have no idea, but what I do know is that our lives are made up of years, our years are made up of days, our days are made up of hours, and our hours are made up of choices.
Choosing to wake up FOR my life, instead of TO my life, has made all the difference
Here’s a snapshot of what you may get to experience right in the heart of South Africa 😊
